The Focke-Wulf Fw190 made its first delivered in March of 1941 to Jagdgeschwader 26 (JG 26). It was soon revealed that the Fw190 was a superb combat fighter. The large wing reduced designed speed only slightly but it boosted climb rate, ceiling and agility.
